Analysis of the Conversational Implication of Audio - visual Communication

Audio-visual communication is a kind of symbolized conversation which conveys meaning by ways of verbal and nonverbal symbols. Being definite signifiers, verbal symbols restrict the conversational implicature to a greater extent, which makes it less likely for the audience to transcend much of the meaning and so the audience can interpret the symbolized audio-visual communication accurately. On the contrary, audience can transcend the meaning of nonverbal conversation to a greater degree because its meaning is less confined. In audio-visual communication, both verbal and nonverbal are of the same importance, they are complementary. Only when they function jointly, can they construct the complete meaning.
