浅析尼克松政府对日政策的转变

二战以来,日本成为美国在亚太地区最重要的盟国。面对二十世纪六、七十年代国际局势的新变化,为了保持美国在亚太地区的影响力,尼克松政府调整了对日政策。新的美国对日政策不仅进一步巩固了美日间的同盟关系,而且有利于日本在东亚发挥更大的作用,从而为七十年代美日关系奠定了基调。

The Nixon Administration's Policy Adjustment toward Japan

Since the end of World War Ⅱ, Japan has become America＇s most important ally in Asia-pacific. Facing the newly changed international situation in late 1960s and early 1970s, the Nixon Administration started adjusting its Japan policy from late 1960s so as to keep America＇s power in this region. This policy adjustment not only helped strengthen the US-Japan alliance, but also made Japan easier to play a bigger role in East Asia, thus placed a foundation for the U.S.-Japan relations in 1970s.
