| Abstract: | The paper discusses several problems in differentiation and evaluation of reference books in terms of political appropriateness, scientism, knowledge, function. The author holds the view that high- quality reference books should embody political appropriateness and a well-structured layout. The informa- tion provided in such reference books is remarkably adequate, accurate and reliable. With a greater capacity of answering questions and solving problems, it also brings convenience to retrieval. |
