| Abstract: | When first introduced into China towards the end of West Han Dynasty, Buddhism came into an immediate conflict with Confucianism and Taoism, which had firmly established themselves on the native land. The convergence of the three seemed a natural settlement of this violent conflict, which had exerted a significant influence upon the secularization of Bian Wen, a popular form of narrative literature. |
