“精严”：金圣叹的“结构之道”——以金评《水浒传》为例

"Well-knit": on Jin Sheng-tan''''s Concept of Integrative Structure——Taking Jin''''s Comments on Outlaws of the Marsh as an Example

Jin Sheng-tan attached importance to Outlaws of the Marsh when he commented on it.He held that "well-knit" was a characteristic of this novel's integrative structure.However,some western literature theoretical scholars criticized that Chinese ancient full-length novels were episodic and they ignored what Jin Sheng-tan said.Jin's concept of integrative structure come down in one continuous line in Chinese ancient literature theory history and it is a very important part of Chinese ancient narrative theory.
