| 摘 要： | 镇江自古形势险要 ,军事上具有特殊的地位 ,与古城南京唇齿相依。太平天国时期 ,镇江是天京的东南屏障 ,太平军占有镇江达五年之久 ,稳定了天京乃至整个东南地区的局势。1 85 7年 1 2月 1 9日 ,清军重占镇江城 ,天京门户洞开 ,太平军失去了军事上的主动权 ,镇江的失守是太平天国军事上的重大失败

| Abstract: | Zhenjiang, with strategically important terrain since ancient times, was closely connected with Nanjiang and played a special role in war. During Tai Ping Heavenly Kingdom, Zhenjiang provided a natural defence for the southeast of Nanjing and the Tai Ping Army, which had once occupied Zhenjiang for about five years and stablized the situations of Nanjing and even the whole southeast area. On December 19, 1857, Zhenjiang was re occupied by Qing Army. The occupation and the opening of the entrance to Nanjing caused Tai Ping Army to lose the initiative in the art of war. Therefore, the loss of Zhenjiang was one of the major loses of Tai Ping Revolution. |
