微型小说中人物语言翻译的"显"和"隐"

微型小说篇幅短小的特点决定其人物语言在简练中蕴涵着丰富的潜台词和会话含意。译者在翻译人物语言时首先要根据原文语境和自己的认知推理对原文的会话含意"显化"理解;但表达时则应考虑译文读者的认知语境,以及小说语言本身的文学形象性和审美性等特点,找到最佳的且与原文相似的关联性,或"隐"或"显",从而达到翻译的目的。

The Overtness and Covertness in Translating the Characters' Language of Mini-fictions

Mini-fictions are often characterized by their short length.The characters' language involved in mini-fictions,is usually very brief,whereas rich in conversational implicatures.This paper first analyzes the overtness in translators' understanding the conversational implicatures of the original characters' language.Then it maintains that the translators,for the sake of literary translation,on the basis of the literary artistic attributes and the readers' conceptual frame as well,may seek the best relevance in the target texts,which is similar to the original supposed relevance,thus accordingly adopting either covert or overt conveyance.
