科举制背景下的士妓关系

唐宋以后,随着科举制度的不断完善,士子们科举之前的紧张和压抑与科举之后的放松形成鲜明对比。在这种情况下,妓女成了他们排遣内心感情的重要途径。自唐代以后,进士们与妓女的关系发生了重要转变,从唐代的亲密合作者到宋代的红颜知己,再到元代"同是天涯沦落人",明代的志趣相投的同志,最后演变到清代嫖客和妓女的关系。不同时代士妓关系的转变也体现了文人社会地位的变化。

The Relationship between Jinshi and Prostitutes under the Background of Imperial Examination

With the improvement of the imperial examination system in the Tang Dynasty,scholars get total relief when they become Jinshi(successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations).Prostitutes under this circumstance become an important way to while away the time.Since the Tang Dynasty,there has been a great change on the relationship between Jinshi and prostitutes: in the Tang Dynasty,they are close partners;in the Song Dynasty,they are bosom friends;in the Yuan Dynasty,they are both frustrated;in the Ming Dynasty,they are like-minded,until in the Qing Dynasty,they transform into whoremasters and prostitutes.These changes in different periods are a mirror of scholars’ social status.
