The Formative Cause of Political Civilization in Ancient China

The distinctive characteristic of the cultural condition on which the traditional political culture in ancient China originated and developed is the subjective inversion of relations between man and nature and between man and society. In the transition from original to modern cultures, man was not gradually liberated as subject from the original chaos, not separate as individual from original groups. Rather, the subjectivity of man had been submerged in the moss of the evolution of Chinese culture. As a form of culture, the submissive political culture had been deeply permeated with the spirit of the traditional Chinese.
