THE DEMAND AND SUPPLY OF QUANTITATIVE METHODS DOCTORATES IN THE SOUTH

Of critical importance to educators, students, and their colleges and universities are the demand for and supply of new Ph.D.'s in the quantitative methods field. This study examines projected academic employment conditions, over the period 1977-1981, for such doctorates in the southern region of the United States.
