Abstract:Mare's milk in Mongol-Yuan period is not only a popular drink, but also a necessity in feast and in offering a sacrifice to Heaven or ancestors. In this Paper I try to focus on the following subjects, such as the names of mare's milk, the method of making it, its importance in sacrificial rites and country's running of it, and wish to get a complete picture of mare's milk in Mongol-Yuan period.
