Theoretical System: Dialog on Comparative Literature between China and the World

The paper holds that China's contribution to world comparative literature lies in the establishment of a theoretical system,which the European and the American critics have failed to achieve although they have developed the guidelines for its study.From the late 20th century the Chinese critics in comparative literature have succeeded in establishing,based on dialectic logic,epistemology,methodology and ontology,a theoretical system that is universal in a multi-cultural environment.
