| Abstract: | Pragmatic Development in a Second Language, written by Gabriela Kasper and Kenneth R. Rose in 2002, is a book which first introduces the process of L2 pragmatic acquisition systematically. It describes the theories of second language pragmatic development and approaches to developmental pragmatic research, and discusses the major factors influencing L2 pragmatic development,for instance, the role of grammar,learning context,instruction and individual differences. |
