侯外庐史学的文化生命力--纪念侯外庐先生百年诞辰

侯外庐先生是20世纪中国最具个性的马克思主义史学家之一。他从翻译《资本论》入手转而进行思想史研究的独特学术路径,不仅奠定了"侯外庐学派"的理论特色,也发前人所未发,得出了一系列对中国古代社会特点极具启发性的认识。外庐先生不是书斋里的学者,而是将对社会现实的强烈关怀融入学术研究,他对封建社会"异端"思想、早期启蒙思想、宋明理学的研究,都表现了这一特色。外庐先生是史学家,也是教育家,将这二者结合起来,使"侯外庐学派"后继有人,不断发扬光大。发掘上述具有鲜明个性的学术特征,便可发现外庐先生学术生命力之所在。

The Relevancy of the Hou Wailu and His School in the Field Of the Chinese Intellectual History

In this paper the author tries to give a brief generalization about the academic characteristics of the famous intellectual historian Hou Wailu (1903-1987). Perhaps they could be listed as follows : the strong consciousness of theoretical speculation, deep concern on the practical matters, unity between scientific researches and higher education. In the field of Chinese intellectual history, there emerged the so-called "the Hou Wailu school",which is assumed that the characteristics listed above have provided some common background for this famous school.
