| Abstract: | From its birth to the present day, American English has gone through a period of nearly four hundred years, its growth being mainly characterized by the process from small to big, weak to strong. American English is now fast becoming a world language. The current paper, based on adequate facts and evidence, expounds and studies the past, the present and the future of American English. The thesis is made up of four parts, dealing mainly with the origin, rise, growth, popularity and the future of American English. It is good and useful for us to understand and study American English. |
