| Abstract: | Homophones are the universal and very important phenomena in languages.This essay analyses the English and Chinese homophones from the points of the forms of homophones,the causes of homophones,the function of homophoes in languages,the ambiguity and vagueness caused by homophones,and how to avoid the misunderstanding of homophones. |
