| 摘 要： | 省略衔接是五种衔接方式中重要的一种,在英语、汉语中的使用都十分广泛。英语形合及汉语意合的特点使得英语、汉语中的省略衔接也有诸多不同。这就要求译者在翻译时充分考虑目的语中省略衔接的特点,增补或删减一些成分,再现译文中的语义连贯。

| Abstract: | Being one of the five major cohesive devices, ellipsis is widely used in both English and Chinese.The hypotactic English and the paratactic Chinese bring about many differences in ellipsis in these two languages.This requires the translators to bear these cohesive characteristics of the target languages in mind.Add or delete some elements when necessary to produce a coherent translation. |
