Research of Professor Wang Gungwu on the history of overseas Chinese and the Chinese people looks upon the South-east Asian overseas Chinese and the Chinese people as a center,discussing the macroscopic theory question involving the South-east Asian Chinese immigrants under the globalization background.Wang Gungwu believes that,the Chinese businessman shape is the basic shape of the South-east Asian Chinese immigrants,its research is helpful to the understanding entire picture of the history on complete Chinese immigrants.Along with promotion of the status of the Chinese immigrants,their status approval has changed,and the concept of overseas Chinese and Chinese people will vanish.
