18 40年 7月 ,中英鸦片战争爆发 ,首战舟山。定海总兵张朝发殉国 ,舟山被占 ,次年 2月收复。 1841年 9月 2 6日起 ,英军再攻舟山 ,相持六昼夜 ,葛云飞、王锡朋、郑国鸿三总兵率部奋战 ,同日壮烈牺牲。这是鸦片战争中中国军民英勇抵抗英军最激烈的战役之一。舟山两次沦陷 ,时达五年多 ,当地军民的反英斗争 ,在鸦片战争史上占有突出地位。但在地方史的研究与宣传教育工作方面 ,存在一些问题。如双方兵力与伤亡情况 ,及其在同整个战争诸役相比较中所居的地位等问题 ,本文根据可靠史料与数据 ,提供商讨

Discussion about Some Problems of Dinghai Battles in Opium War

In July, 1840, when the Opium War broke out between China and Britain, the first battle took place in Zhoushan. In the following more than five years, Zhoushan Rad been captured by the British twice. The local army and people's fight against the British has an outstanding position in the history of the Opium War. However, in the study of the local history and in the aspects of propaganda and education,there are some problems about casualties of both armies and about the position compared with all the battles in the whole war, and so on. This paper, on the basis of reliable historical materials and data,put forward some problems, which I'd like to discuss with othe experts.
