| Abstract: | Xueheng School was regarded as a culturally conservative group that opposed the New Culture Movement during the May 4th Movement in 1919. Though it advocated adhering to the quintessence of classical Chinese culture, it also agreed to absorb new knowledge such as Western culture, which has often been ignored by the scholars concerned. |
