| Abstract: | Oral communication is in most cases impromptu and therefore in the process of oral communication hesitation is a common phenomenon. With an analysis of the causes, forms and functions of hesitation, this paper concludes that hesitation is an expedient measure and in a sense a pragmatic tactic as well. |
