民国时期南洋华侨社团的日常活动——以万隆华侨公会为例

依据1934年至1940年荷属印尼万隆华侨公会出版的《华侨月刊》,试图对世界经济危机和中国进入抗战这一时代背景下该社团的日常活动进行细致考察。通过对共计59期《华侨月刊》的爬梳,可将万隆华侨公会的日常活动归纳为以下几个主要方面:促进华侨经营事业的发展;服务华侨日常生活;致力于提高华侨素质;支援祖国抗战和救灾。华侨公会的日常活动深刻折射出经济危机和中国抗战背景下华侨社会的迫切需求,南洋华侨与居住地政府、南洋华侨与中国政府之间的关系。

A Case Study of Oversea Chinese Association in Nanyang from 1934 to 1940

On the basis of Overseas Chinese Monthly from 1934 to 1940 by the Overseas Chinese Consortium at Bandung in Indonesia,the paper particularly reviews the daily activities of the association in the background of the Global Economic Crisis and the Second World War.After sorting fifty-nine issues of the journal,its daily activities are summarized as the following:promoting the development of the overseas Chinese business,serving the overseas Chinese daily activities,committing itself to improving the quality of the overseas Chinese,and supporting China's War of Resistance against Japan and participating in disaster relief work.Through the case study of the Overseas Chinese Consortium at Bandung,we can understand the organic structure and their detailed functions.Its daily activities also reflect the urgent needs of the overseas Chinese in the background of the Global Economic Crisis and the Second World War,and its relation to the host government and China.
