| Abstract: | English and Chinese languages differ greatly in culture.This article analyzed the transferred translation of the images of English idioms and discussed the problem of no equivalent images between English and Chinese idioms.An image or literary figure included in English idioms is a main reflection of cultural characteristics of a nation and should be transferred into another in Chinese after overall understanding of its figurative sense and effects based on the cultural atmosphere. |
