| 摘 要： | 习语反映一种文化的概貌，最具有鲜明的民族文化特征。中英两种文化孕育了各具民族特色的习语。正确理解和使用习语是跨文化交际中的主要盲点问题。文章通过对英汉习语的语源与内涵进行对比、归类、分析，来考察英汉两种文化的异同。

| Abstract: | Idioms of a nation, which we may compare to a mirror, best reflect the peculiar features of the nation's culture. Both Chinese culture and English culture have created a large number of idioms with distinctive national characteristics. Incorrect understanding and inappropriate usage of them have long been a main problem of intercultural clashes. This essay explores the differences between English culture and Chinese culture by comparing the origins and meanings of their idioms. |
