The Duality of Human and Society Nature and Its Profound Implication:One of the Core Ideas of Durkheim Sociology

Emile Durkheim is one of the great founders of the modern western sociology.In his academic career,Durkheim has always been discussing the core question of modern sociology,that is the nature of human and society,so as their relationships.Based on the dualism of mind and matter of Descartes,Enlightenment and Rational thought of Kant and Rousseau,Durkheim established the dualism of mind and matter of human and society,and gave sociology research methods the meaning of typology and methodology.In the meantime,the sociology thought of Durkheim laid perspective and path of personal and society in modern sociology.This paper discussed the Emile Durkheim’s thought on the duality of mind and matter of human and society in detail,and it’s profound meaning.
