浅议大学生英语口语表达的得体性

英语口语在当今社会日趋重要。但是学生对口语能力的认识还存在误解。他们比较注重口语表达的流利性及其语法的正确性 ,而忽视了口语表达的得体性。文章列举了大学生的英语口语表达在得体性上普遍存在的四个问题 ,然后将其归纳为语言语用失误和社交语用失误 ,并简要分析了造成这两类语用失误的原因。最后从理论上论证了要提高学生的英语语言交际能力 ,就必须培养他们的语用能力 ,从而提高其英语口语表达的得体性

On the appropriateness of college students' oral English

Oral English is becoming increasingly important in today's society. However, college students still have misunderstandings on oral English competence. When they speak English, they focus more on the fluency and grammatical correctness but less on the appropriateness of their oral English. The paper lists the four common problems with the appropriateness of college students' oral English, then classifies them into pragmalinguistic failure and sociopragmatic failure and analyses the causes of the pragmatic failure briefly. Finally, the paper theoretically proves that the development of students' pragmatic competence is necessary for the improvement of their communicative competence.
