“诗必盛唐”一直简单地被当作明代七子派创作上模拟之弊的根源和口实。但全面考察七子派诗学思想,不难看出:七子派取法汉魏盛唐的本意,在于恢复各体诗歌初创阶段的那种真情自然、“无意于工而无不工”的创作精神。其模拟之弊固然与他们严守法式有关,但深层根源在于中国诗歌发展后期无法克服的内有矛盾无避免的衰落命运。
