论权近的尊周事大思想及其使行诗

Kwon Kun's Ideas and Works: Worshipping Chinese Cultures and Korea's Submission When Emergencies Occurred

Kwon Kun, as the most authorative scholar of idealist philosophy between the end of Koryo and the beginning of Korea Dynasty, was deeply influenced by the viewpoints in Spring anct Autumn, a Chinese classic work. He considered ＂China＂ as the orthodoxy and accepted the official titles Chinese emperors conferred. In his Record of the Ambassador Mission, the ideas of suzerain-vassal relations between China and Korea as well as Korea＇s submission when emergencies occurred were obvious. Besides, joyful feelings of ＂sharing piping times of peace＂ because ＂the whole world is one family＂ were also frequently expressed in his essays. All these proves that Kwon＇ s visit to the capital of Ming Dynasty in China, his points of view about literay creation and theme of the poems and essays in his book all follows a basic tone of worshipping Ming Dynasty and respecting Chinese cultures.
