| Abstract: | He Qiu-tao was a famous scholar who devoted himself to the study of China's northwest borderland history and geography during the period of the Opium War. His representative work Suofangbeicheng, written with a clear purpose and occupying an important position in the study of the borderland history and geography in modern China, embodies his ideas on the borderland history and geography and reveals his practical approach to academic studies. |
