印度王公在英印帝国时期受宠之原因探析

殖民地印度时期,与印度穆斯林贵族、国大党温和派相比,印度王公在英印帝国内得到了宗主国——英国殖民者更多的宠幸,王公在帝国内的政治地位逐渐提高。20世纪30年代,王公在宗主国的支持下在全印度政治舞台上扮演积极的角色,试图与国大党在未来的印度中"平起平坐"、"平分秋色",甚至到1947年英国撤离印度前,王公有成立自己独立国家即"土邦斯坦"的可能性。王公们之所以能够在帝国体系内受宠主要是三个方面的原因,即英国殖民统治策略的结果、王公作为印度社会最集中代表的结果以及王公对宗主国忠诚的效果。

Analysis on the Reasons of the Princely Being Bestowed in the Period of the British Indian Empire

In the period of Colonial India ,compared with India’s Muslim nobles and the Congress Party moderates ,the Princes were luck to receive more bestows within the British Empire .the political status of the Princes within the empire were lifted gradually ,in the 1930 s with the support of the Suzerain ,the Princes played an active role on the political stage throughout India ,and attempted to stand ”equal” and”split” ,with the congress party in India of the future .Even before the British withdrew out of India in 1947 ,the Princes possessed the possibility of establishing their own independent countries ,”Native States Stan” .That the Princes were able to be bestowed favor within the imperial system mainly from three aspects of reasons ,which were the result of the British colonial rule strategy ,the result of the most concentrated behalf In the Indian society ,and the effect of their loyalty to the Suzerain .
