转型时期美国城市中的政治腐败问题及其改革

19世纪末 2 0世纪初 ,美国处于由农业社会向城市社会转型的历史时期 ,城市中的政治腐败问题更加严重 ,其根本原因是城市政治制度发展的滞后。一批城市中产阶级以上的人对旧的市政体制进行了改革 ,取消了以城市老板为首的政治核心小集团对市政的操纵 ,使腐败问题在一定程度上得到改善。

The problem and reform of the urban political corruption in America during the period of transformation

At the turn from the 19th century to the 20th century,America was in the transformation from an agricultural society to an urban society.The political corruption in the city got worse due to the slow development of the urban political system.A group of urban middle class reformed the outdated urban political system,so that the political core-group which was led by the urban boss could control the urban politics no more,and the problem of corruption got better to some extent.
