中国传统雕塑“辉煌”成就的背后

中国传统雕塑一方面有着辉煌成就,但另一方面中国雕塑却一直是一门非“艺术”的艺术。它始终处于民间创作的地位,从未作为一门艺术的独立形态而发展,根源在于中国雕塑存在着理论缺失。究其原因,则在于中国传统哲学的限制;缺乏全面深入的理论指导;落后的科学技术的制约;传统习惯的制约等等。中国的雕塑工作者有必要更多的掌握西方的理性认识,从而给民族艺术带来新的生机和发展。

THE DRAWBACKS BEYOND THE "TRIUMPH" OF THE CHINESE TRADITIONAL SCULPTURE

The Chinese traditional sculpture enjoys glorious achievements, but it has all along been excluded from art. Throughout its history, it has existed as a kind of folk works and never developed as an independent form of art, which is due to the deficiency of theoretical guidance and the restrictions of Chinese traditional philosophies, customs and the backward science and technology, etc. To bring about the regeneration and development of our national art, the Chinese sculptors have to acquaint themselves of the western theories.
