| Abstract: | The paper holds that, in The Biography of Bo Yi in the book Historical Records, Si Maqian speaks highly of governing the country in the interest of the people in the times of Emperor Yao and Emperor Shun, boldly refutes the seizure of power by violence for the berefit of the ruler himself, and by exposing its harm done to the ancient Chinese society, proves the correctness of Si Maqian's viewpoint. |
