如何看待翻译中的跨文化因素

翻译是跨语言的交际活动 ,更是跨文化的交际活动。译者不但要注重语言 ,更要注重语言所载负的文化现象。翻译的目的不仅在于传承原文本身的语言价值 ,还在于使读者更好更准确地体会其文化涵义。文章在功能对等原则的基础上 ,通过剖析归化法和异化法在翻译比喻词时的不同效果 ,探讨两者对跨文化交流的作用 ,以及译者应采取的策略。

Handling of Cultural Elements in Translation

Translation is not only cross-linguistic but also cross-cultural. Translators should attach equal importance to both the linguistic meaning and the cultural phenomenon in the language because the aim of translation lies in the transposition of the cultural elements for the target readers. This paper aims at an analysis of translation methods used in the metaphor translation-domestication and alienation guided by the functional equivalence principle and discusses the methods by which translators can employ in dealing with the cultural elements in translation.
