Discussing on Feasibility of Venuti's Foreignization Strategy in Real Translation Practice

Venuti discusses two strategies,domesticating' and foreignizing',favouring the latter in a policy of resistance' to the dominant and ethnocentrically violent' values of publishers and literary reviewers.The translation on the basis of the non-fluent or estranging translation style,however,is destined to destroy the grammatical and cultural norms of target language.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss the feasibility of Venuti's strategy in the practice of translation.
