现代通俗文学的生态、价值及评价问题

在新文学占据现代文学主流位置的同时,源远流长的通俗文学并未销声匿迹,而是随着新闻、出版、教育与市民社会的发展在市场上占有可观的份额,拥有广大的读者群。通俗文学与新文学之间,既有对峙、抵触、冲突的一面,也有竞争、交织、融会的另一面。通俗文学固然存在着一些弊病,但也确有值得肯定之处,如强烈的国家话语、丰富的现代文明景观、广阔的社会生活场景、浓郁的娱乐性、文体革新的贡献。新文学对通俗文学的态度不断变化,最初激烈排斥,继而重新审视,有所反省,暗中借鉴,再后来为了团结抗日,主动携手。在文学史著述中,通俗文学曾被遮蔽与贬低,新时期以来逐渐趋于历史还原,多元共生的文学史观念愈加得到认同。
