| 摘 要： | 菲茨杰拉德的代表作《了不起的盖茨比》深入批判了“美国梦”的实质，强烈谴责道德沦丧、腐败之风盛行的美国社会。“爵士时代”美国梦的两个特点足以分析“美国梦”的虚幻及破灭的原因，亦足以揭露社会的黑暗。

| Abstract: | Fitzgerald＇s masterpiece The Great Gatsby reveals the disillusionment of the American dream to criticize and condemn the corrupted American society severely. This paper displays two characters of the American dream in the Jazz Time and analyzes reasons for the disillusionment of dreams in order to reveal the darkness of the society. |
