当代社会转型与文化研究

我们所处的是一个什么样的时代 ?我们应该如何认识自己所生活的这个时代 ?我们一直以西方相参照 ,把我们的时代定位为后工业社会、后现代社会、全球化时代、晚期资本主义(美国学者杰姆逊提出 ) ,这是因为我们与西方共时代 ,但我们还有本土经验 ,有我们时代的纵坐标和横坐标。我们的汉文化处在什么状况 ?只有纵横结合才能认识我们所处的时代。这一时代的宏观语境是当代社会转型 ,这也正是当代文化研究最为必然的理论问题与理论前提。

Contemporary Society's Transformation and Cultural Studies

What kind of times is the times we live in ? How should we make acquaintance with the times we live? Having the West as reference, we always take our times as post-industrial society, post-modern society, globalized society or late capitalism(raised by Jameson) because we share the same times with the West. But we have our own experience as well as the ordinate and abscissa of our times. And then what is the present state of our Chinese culture? Only a combination of the ordinate and abscissa can help us realize our times whose macro-context is the contemporary society's transformation which poses inevitable theoretical questions and prerequisites.
