今日的古代文学教学大抵只限于史的知识的介绍、作品章句的串解和一般意义上的赏鉴 ,而缺乏一种真正意义上的人文精神的贯穿 ,因此 ,已明显地表现出与生活的严重脱节。要改变这一切 ,必须重新回到文学之本 ,即格物致知 ,陶铸性情上来

Reflections on the Teaching of Ancient Literature

The ancient Chinese literature teaching of these days is nothing more than an introduction of the knowledge of the literary history,a general interpretation of the text and an appreciation in a common sense.It lacks an indoctrinization of humanist spirit in a true sense.Therefore,it breaks away with the human life.In order to change the present situation,the teaching of ancient literature should return to the nature of literature,i.e. developing the students's humanist spirit.
