清代湖北的救生红船及其事业

清代的湖北得到较快开发,而水上交通的发展是其中的重要因素之一。救生红船及其事业便是随着湖北商品经济的发展和水上交通的发达而设置起来的,其作为水上交通的保障一般可分为官办救生红船及民办善堂善局中的救生事业。这项事业在设置中逐渐形成自身的整套运营管理体系,并具有救生、护航等诸多职能。这其中,政府与地方精英彼此力量消长,在不同时期各居主导,发挥了重要作用。

Lifesaving Red Boat and Lifesaving Enterprise of Hubei in Qing Dynasty

Hubei obtained rapid development in Qing Dynasty,Water transportation was one of important attribution.During the development of commercial economy and the water transportation in Hubei province,lifesaving red boat and lifesaving enterprise had been established as while,as the security of water transportation,it could be divided into two parts: one was operated by government and the other was founded by folk charity.The enterprise had gradually formed whole system of management of itself,it also had gained much capabilities,such as lifesaving and sailing aid.Meanwhile,government and local elites increased and decreased each other,dominating respectively and playing the vital role at different times.
