译者：一个新的忠实对象

对翻译应忠实于谁这一问题,以往的研究总是试图从译者主体外部为翻译寻找参照对象。文章在充分考虑译者主体及其主体性的前提下,提出一个新的翻译忠实对象,即译者本人。文章分析了对译者的忠实在翻译目的、译者理解和译者表达三个不同层面的具体体现,最后就这一新的忠实对象与以往研究中的忠实对象之间的关系作了初步探讨。

The Translator:a New Object for Translation Faithfulness

Whom should translation be faithful？ To this,previous studies have always been seeking objects outside the subject of translation as the answer,which overshadows the translator′s subjectivity.Taking into consideration the translator as the subject in the translation process and the subjectivity she/he enjoys,the author therefore put forward a new object for translation faithfulness——the translator.Analyses then are made on three different aspects in which such kind of faithfulness is demonstrated,i.e.the translation goal,translator′s understanding to the source text and translation′s writing the target text.Finally,the relation between this new object for translation faithfulness and other previously-discussed ones is explored primarily.
