Abstract: | With 0 hour, July 1, 1964, as the reference time, the total population of China is 723,070,269. Males account for 51.33% of this figure. The Han population in the 28 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions account for 94.22% of the total. The total population of males aged 16 to 59 and females aged 16 to 54 accounts for 49.17% of the total population. 40.49% of the total are below the age of 14. Educational levels of the population include: 1) 2,875,401 people with university educational levels, 2) 9,116,831 people with senior middle school education, 3) 32,346,788 with junior middle school education, and 4) 195,824,459 with primary school education. There are 233,267,947 people above age 13 who are illiterates. |
