| 摘 要： | 在第二次世界大战苏德战争爆发前,英国成为欧洲唯一抵抗德意法西斯的国家。与英国本土保卫战有密切关联的地中海地区构成了英国在二战初期抵御德国和意大利的重要战线。针对德国对地中海地区的图谋,英国通过政治、军事和外交的努力,最终维系了后来成为第二次世界大战欧洲战场以外的又一重要战场。

| Abstract: | Before the outbreak of the war between the Soviet Union and Germany, Britain was the only country in resistance to German and Italian Fascists. The Mediterranean War Zone which was closely related with the defence of British metropolitan territory constituted the important front to resist to German and Italian troops at early period of World War II. To frustrate German intention in the Mediterranean region, Britain firmly controlled this battlefield beyond Europe by means of political, military and diplomatic efforts. |
