| 摘 要： | 林语堂认为现代化的潮流之中,不能像民族自卑主义者那样否定一切。对于传统文化,我们应该树立自己的信心,在改变物质与政治环境的基础上,继承本民族的优秀传统,吸收现代西方文化的长处,走东西融合之路。

| Abstract: | Lin Yutang held the view that we could not negate everything as national nihilists did in the tide of modernization.We should build up own confidence in traditional culture.We should inherit the excellent tradition of our nation,absorb the good qualities of modern western culture,and combine the east with the west on the basis of reforming the economic and political surroundings. |
