Put forward by Dr.Hu Shi and as the core idea of the May 4th Literary Revolution,the concept of literary evolution is rich in particular ideological annotations and functionary values.In relation to the period it appears,it,for the first time,proposes that a specific time must deal with a specific thesis of literature,thus,initiating an unusual concept of literary revolution,a "historical literary concept" after its introduction into the realm of history,and finally an "Esoteric method and concept" when agglomerated into the research of compared literature.It is philosophically based upon experimentalism related with biological evolution instead of on the general principle of biological evolution.
