乔纳森·斯威夫特是一位杰出的讽刺作家，其作品对后世的讽刺文学产生了深刻的影响。他的代表作《格列佛游记》最早在清朝末年被引入中国，并深受中国读者的喜爱，而它的中译本中产生影响最大的还是林纾的译本，名为《海外轩渠录》。目前，中国对斯威夫特作品进行比较研究的论文很多，但它们多是停留在将其与中国某位作家的某部作品进行单一比较的层面上；本文试图将其对中国现代讽刺文学几位主将的影响结合在一起，汇集前人的研究成果于一体，从宏观角度探求斯威夫特对中国现代讽刺文学产生的影响。
