试论晚清东南沿海地区新式私学的办学特点及作用

晚清,作为沐浴欧风美雨的前沿阵地,东南沿海地区私学率先奏响了近代化的乐章,成为新式私学最先崛起、最发达的地区,并呈现出多元主体参与办学、爱国热情高涨等特点。东南沿海地区在教育上成为先行者,在引进新学、新的教育方法、新的教育理论方面,始终走在前列,对晚清教育近代化,起了有力的推动与促进作用。

The Character and Significance of the New Private School at the End of Qing Dynasty

At the end of the Qing Dynasty,as the forward position influenced by the west culture, the private schools in the southeast area near the sea modernized firstly. The new private school in this area rose earliest and developed fastest. It appeared the character that all kinds of people participated to set up the private school and the enthusiasm of loving country upsurged. The private schools was the forerunner in the education,importing new knowledge, new education methods and new education theories,which spurred the modernization of education at the end of the Qing Dynasty.
