| Abstract: | Women＇s higher education in the United States emerged in the middle of the 19th century. It broke the monopoly of men in higher education and started a new era for women＇s education. This paper analyzes the reasons for the emergence and early forms of American women＇ s higher education as well as points out its influences and limitations. |
