| Abstract: | Through looking into various features of four generations of Chinese textbooks used over the past three decades,this paper critically reviews the introduction and promotion of Hanyu Pinyin in Singapore primary education system.A part from an in-depth analysis on the evolution of how Hanyu Pinyin has been adopted in different sets of textbooks,another focus of this paper is the discussion about problems stemmed from the Hanyu Pinyin application in textbooks in light of local relevance.Possible solutions are ... |
