| 摘 要： | 英语虚拟语气语法范畴是否存在 ,英语语法家们对之一直争论不已。有人赞成 ,也有人反对。本文拟分析英语虚拟语气的历史 ,说明虚拟语气的形式标志应该反映在动词词尾曲折变化上 ;并说明语气语法范畴的变化是语言历史发展的必然。

| Abstract: | There have been hot disputes among English grammarians concerning the existence of English subjunctive mood as a grammatical category. This article analyzes the history of English subjunctive mood, and on this basis, explains that the formal marker of subjunctive mood should be in the inflection of verbs. It suggests that the change with English subjunctive mood as a grammatical category is the inevitable outcome of English development. |
